BookDoc seeks a talented Software Developer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and mission-critical web applications.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain robust applications utilizing Ruby on Rails or PHP/Laravel frameworks.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and essential back-end components.
- Manage and utilize PostgreSQL databases and various data storage solutions.
- Translate UI/UX wireframes into functional code, ensuring seamless integration with front-end elements.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver new features.
- Produce reusable, reliable code and maintain well-organized project files.
- Stay current with emerging programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Software Developer or in a similar technical role.
- Proficiency required in either Ruby on Rails or PHP/Laravel.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and version control systems like Git/GitHub.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work as a team player.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Frontend development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Alicloud, or Azure.
- Experience integrating various third-party services.
- Knowledge of project management and ticketing tools, specifically JIRA.
