MTH Networks is seeking a Junior Full Stack Laravel Developer to join the Development team. This role focuses on assisting with internal projects and is ideal for someone passionate about web development, possessing strong attention to detail, and eager to grow their technical skills.
The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of ongoing projects and potentially lead their own initiatives. You must excel in team communication while maintaining the flexibility to work independently to meet strict deadlines. This position offers significant learning opportunities, expanding skills beyond PHP into areas like iOS/Android development in the future.
Work Location and Schedule
The Development team operates fully remotely. Desk space is available at the HQ Office in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The team collaborates in person at the office for 2–3 days every 6–9 weeks, working fully remotely otherwise.
Interview Process Note
Candidates must develop and share a Laravel project demonstrating proficiency with the framework. Applications lacking this demonstration will be denied.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1+ years experience in PHP 8.4
- 1+ year experience working with MariaDB database or similar
- 1+ year experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- 1+ year experience in Pest/PHPUnit Testing
- 1+ year experience in Vue.js
- Experience with Version Control systems (SVN/Bitbucket or Git)
- 1+ years Experience in Laravel version 11+
- Good understanding of database relationships, triggers, and pivot tables
- Some Linux Command Line experience using LAMP stack
- HTML5/Javascript using Bootstrap 5 framework
