Join Our Team as a Junior Backend Engineer!
Become part of one of our cross-functional teams in Motors, Real Estate, OLX Classifieds, or Platforms, with the flexibility of remote work from Portugal.
As a member of our extensive tech team, comprising over 1,000 professionals across various locations, you will partner with engineers, SREs, and product teams to develop scalable, high-impact solutions. You will report to an Engineering Manager dedicated to supporting your professional growth and impact.
We utilize Golang and Kotlin, actively modernizing our systems as we transition from legacy PHP and evolve towards a microservices architecture. Our deployment process is managed through GitLab CI/CD to AWS.

Who we are looking for:
- A curious and eager learner who thrives on understanding system mechanics and is excited to take ownership of their work.
- A developer with practical experience or familiarity in software development, preferably with Golang, Java/Kotlin, or PHP, and a keen interest in databases and cloud technologies like AWS.
- A problem solver who approaches challenges with a blend of technical acumen and a user-centric perspective to create meaningful solutions.
- A collaborative team player who is open to discussions, cross-team cooperation, and knowledge sharing.
What you will be doing:
- Contribute to projects by writing code, actively participating in planning sessions, and supporting the execution of technical tasks as you enhance your skills.
- Be an active team member, learning from colleagues while delivering quality work and building confidence in your technical abilities.
- Bring fresh ideas and curiosity, explore innovative problem-solving approaches, and assist in implementing software solutions under team guidance.
- Ask questions, share insights, and progressively assume ownership of the product as your experience grows.
- Collaborate closely with product managers to grasp user needs and contribute to building impactful products.
