Senior C# Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 (Hybrid, VA)
We are seeking a high-quality Senior C# Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 to program, maintain code, and develop .NET solutions for our direct client. This is a hybrid position located in Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications using C#, Angular, and SQL Server.
Candidates must demonstrate experience working with large menu-driven business systems, such as claims processing, payroll, medical, or insurance type applications. Success in this role requires an excellent grasp of C# and the .NET framework, prolific coding abilities, and strong daily problem-solving skills. Note: This role involves debugging and maintaining written code, but does not utilize APIs.
C# Developer Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain C# program code for ongoing and future projects.
- Develop C# .NET solutions and create in-house applications using the .NET framework.
- Contribute to design and planning sessions and formulate approaches for current coding tasks.
- Debug and maintain written code (no APIs).
- Define and organize projects on an ongoing basis.
- Report and resolve issues related to .NET projects.
- Identify and handle technical risks and issues.
- Work collaboratively in a project team alongside other developers.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders.
- Report on project statuses and developments to senior team members.
- Participate in project meetings with management and other team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.
- Expertise in C# programming (5+ years required).
- Experience with .NET 3.1 or higher.
- Experience with Angular (2+ years required).
- Proficiency in SQL Server (3+ years required) and T-SQL.
- Experience (5+ years required) with large menu-driven business systems (e.g., claims processing, payroll, medical, or insurance applications).
- Knowledgeable in transferring data between application screens, selecting/scrolling through large data sets, and handling add/update/delete order-entry type transactions.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code (3+ years required).
- Knowledge of build and deployment repositories such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Ability to write clean, easy-to-understand code.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
Desired Skills (Plus Factors):
- Knowledge of other coding languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, Coldfusion, etc.).
- Experience with gRPC (1+ years required).
- Experience with ColdFusion (Nice to have).
