Summary of Job Duties:
Under direction, the Intermediate Business Systems Developer formulates and defines system scope and objectives. This role involves developing and modifying procedures and software to address complex healthcare business, patient care, healthcare regulatory, and medical research problems. Work utilizes state-of-the-art and legacy software development tools and methods, considering computer equipment capacity, limitations, operating time, computer-user interfaces, and desired results. Project tasks include software development, software implementation, application maintenance, application troubleshooting, software upgrades, software testing, and custom report writing, performed both individually and as a team member.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study plus 3 years of computer programming experience - OR -
- Associate Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study plus 5 years of computer programming experience - OR -
- High school diploma plus 7 years of computer programming experience.
- Proven programming experience in one or more programming languages is required.
- One year of experience with Visual Basic and some experience in one or more of the following: C#, Visual Studio, PHP, ASP, or other web-based programming language.
- One year of relational database experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, or Oracle.
- Client/Server programming and Internet application programming required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely and effectively with co-workers and end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
