We are looking for an Integration Engineer to operate and further develop complex system integrations for the advancement of our system landscape and integration platform.

Your Responsibilities

System Integration & Interfaces

• Independent conception, development, and support of data interfaces between internal and external systems.
• Operation and further development of the Lobster_data integration platform.
• Connection of external systems via EDI/EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and CSV.
• Development and support of file-based and web interfaces with common transmission protocols such as REST, SOAP, SFTP, EDI.
• Conception of robust validation and error handling logic (sanity checks, atomic processing, idempotence).
• Independent error analysis and troubleshooting during ongoing operations.

WMS & Logistics Processes

• Understanding of WMS processes (goods receipt, picking, shipping, returns) as a basis for clean interface design.
• Connection and integration of ERP and WMS systems with surrounding platforms (e-commerce, shipping service providers, customer portals).
• Support of logistics IT systems and Warehouse Management environments.

Databases & Data Processes

• Development and maintenance of SQL queries, procedures, and data models in MS SQL and MySQL environments.
• Analysis and optimization of data-driven business processes with secure and professional application of SQL and a solid understanding of data structures and relationships.

Customer Projects

• Analysis of technical customer requirements and creation of interface concepts.
• Support for customer migration projects and system connections.
• Participation in technical workshops and project coordination meetings.

Requirements

What you bring

• Experience with integration platforms – ideally Lobster_data, alternatively comparable middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar).
• Interface formats: XML, JSON, CSV, EDIFACT/EDI.
• Transmission protocols: REST, SOAP, SFTP/FTP.
• Basic understanding of REST interfaces (usage/configuration).
• Deep SQL knowledge (MS SQL Server, MySQL) for complex queries, joins, CTEs, data modeling.
• Understanding of networked, distributed system architectures and their process chains.
• Basic understanding of WMS processes and their influence on interface design.
• Basic understanding of e-commerce and/or logistics processes.

Nice to have

• Specific Lobster_data experience.
• Development and implementation of REST or SOAP APIs.
• Practical experience with at least one WMS or ERP system (as a user, consultant, or in integration projects).
• Basic knowledge of .NET / C# (reading, minor adjustments).
• PHP / Laravel.
• Experience with WMS implementation projects or migrations.
