Fractional Chief Technology Officer
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our company’s technological strategy and innovation roadmap. The CTO will oversee all aspects of software, mobile, and web platform development—including WordPress, Shopify, and mobile app ecosystems—while driving infrastructure, security, and digital transformation initiatives that align with our broader business objectives.
This executive role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise across software development, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical leadership with a strong business acumen, capable of building scalable systems and high-performance teams to support rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
- Provide executive leadership across engineering, IT, and digital product teams.
Software, Web & Mobile Development
- Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) for WordPress, Shopify, and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Direct full-stack development using Java, C#, Python, PHP, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Flutter, Angular, Node.js, and .NET.
- Ensure clean code standards, version control, and CI/CD integration.
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
- Lead design and implementation of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems for performance and scalability.
- Manage APIs, integrations, and database systems including SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
Cybersecurity & IT Governance
- Establish and maintain robust information security protocols, firewall configurations, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with standards including ISO, NIST, PCI, FISMA, and FIPS.
- Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Innovation & AI/ML Initiatives
- Drive development of AI and machine learning projects, including natural language processing and predictive analytics.
- Identify automation and data-driven solutions that improve operational outcomes.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Manage cross-functional engineering teams; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Implement Agile methodologies and DevOps practices for continuous delivery and efficiency.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor relationships for technology operations.
Governance & Compliance
- Develop and enforce IT governance policies to ensure security, data integrity, and compliance.
- Promote industry best practices (ITIL, ISO) and oversee technology audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Senior Technology Executive within a fast-paced or scaling organization.
- Expertise in software and application development, including WordPress, Shopify, mobile apps, and enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, FISMA/FIPS) and practical firewall/risk management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration using Agile practices.
- Background in business intelligence and technology risk management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or experience

Pay: $87,128.72 - $104,929.21 per year
