This Role

As the Growth Product Owner, you will execute and deliver our website roadmap, driving initiatives across SEO, Conversion, and overall website growth. Reporting to the Growth Product Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone of the website squad, ensuring efficient, timely, and high-quality project delivery aligned with business priorities. You will own day-to-day execution within the website engineering squad, overseeing sprints, backlog management, QA, and triaging inbound web requests. You will also oversee post-build delivery, collaborating with engineers on new features and enhancements, and supporting the Web Content Ops team with BAU and campaign activities.

This role is within the Website, SEO & Conversion team in Growth Marketing, collaborating with engineers, designers, data analysts, and SEO and Conversion Managers to deliver a high-performing website experience that drives measurable growth.

As our Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for:

Website Delivery & Execution

  • Own the day-to-day delivery and execution of website experience initiatives in collaboration with the Growth Product Manager, Engineering squad, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable web initiatives, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead sprint ceremonies, backlog management, QA testing, and delivery planning, ensuring projects are released on time, on quality, and aligned with roadmap priorities.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and data teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and deliver measurable growth and revenue impact.
  • Ensure all releases undergo proper QA processes through staging and meet performance and usability standards across devices and regions.

Website Operations & Triage

  • Act as the first point of contact and triage for website requests (e.g., new feature requests, campaign builds, landing pages, bugs).
  • Categorize and assign incoming requests to appropriate teams (e.g., Web Content Ops, engineers, designers) based on criteria like complexity and impact.
  • Oversee BAU and campaign delivery, ensuring the offshore Web Content Ops team follows clear processes, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Continuously refine web operations workflows (triage, prioritization, QA, and deployment) to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Work closely with the Engineering squad to monitor website uptime, performance, and reliability; proactively flag and coordinate fixes for issues impacting the web experience.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Growth Product Manager to deliver initiatives that drive organic traffic, engagement, and conversions translating to ARR.
  • Partner with SEO and Conversion Managers to ensure their initiatives are properly scoped, prioritized, and executed within the website roadmap.
  • Work with designers to ensure all experiences are high-quality, accessible, and aligned with UX best practices.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Customer, Product, and Engineering) to manage dependencies and expectations, ensuring transparent communication.
  • Report on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to the Growth Product Manager and relevant leadership teams.

Continuous Improvement & Quality

  • Identify delivery bottlenecks and help refine workflows and sprint processes for greater velocity and collaboration, leveraging automation or AI tools where possible.
  • Maintain strong documentation of web delivery practices, standards, and QA procedures.
  • Champion a culture of testing, iteration, evidence-based decision-making, and fast-shipping across the website team.
  • Use data analytics and performance insights to inform new iterations, optimizations, and future priorities.
  • Support continuous alignment between teams across time zones (ANZ, UK, and Canada) to ensure global delivery consistency.

Who you are

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in product ownership, management, or web delivery within an agile software or website product environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, and stakeholder prioritization.
  • Proven success managing delivery pipelines for large websites, CMS operations, or product feature builds that drive growth, acquisition, and/or retention.
  • Skilled at writing clear user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria that communicate expected product outcomes.
  • Curious and growth-oriented, with exposure to growth levers including SEO/GEO, CRO, or UX/website optimization to acquire and retain customers while driving measurable revenue impact.
  • Analytical and data-driven, able to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions and prioritization.
  • Experienced in QA processes and ensuring website quality through robust testing and acceptance workflows.
  • Technical aptitude with familiarity in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress/PHP, Contentful, Webflow), Jira/Asana, and web QA tools.
  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and attention to detail, balancing short-term delivery with long-term outcomes.
  • Collaborative communicator with experience working cross-functionally across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Data teams.
  • Hands-on and proactive: comfortable rolling up your sleeves to unblock teams and keep projects moving.
