About the Role

As the Global Website Operations & Development Manager, reporting into the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Atlas HXM's global web presence across the entire stack. This pivotal role has a primary focus on front-end development and user-facing features.

You will collaborate daily with the Global Website Operations & Development Lead to implement technical solutions, ranging from responsive interfaces and CMS integrations to back-end functionality. You will deliver results that serve our customers across 160+ countries and multiple languages. This position requires a versatile, pragmatic developer who excels at translating marketing requirements into quality execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Front-End Development (Primary Focus): Build responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and native JavaScript (without relying on component frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular). Ensure consistency across our global website presence and multiple locales.
• CMS Implementation & Management: Work extensively with our headless CMS (Storyblok) to implement content structures, create reusable components, manage multi-locale content architecture, and enable seamless content workflows for marketing teams.
• Back-End Development Support: Contribute to server-side functionality using PHP, including API integrations, data processing, and business logic implementation.
• Feature Implementation: Translate requirements and design specifications into functional, integrated website features across the full stack.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Debug and resolve issues across different browsers, devices, locales, and server environments, ensuring reliable global experiences.
• Code Maintenance: Work within our established bespoke codebase, understanding existing architecture and making improvements while maintaining system stability.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with marketing, design, and content teams to document development processes and build team knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional web development experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and native JavaScript, including solid understanding of DOM APIs, event handling, and AJAX/XHR requests.
• Solid PHP experience, including procedural development; comfortable working in non-framework environments and maintaining existing codebases.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
• Understanding of web performance optimization and SEO fundamentals.
• Ability to work across the stack, comfortable context-switching between front-end and back-end tasks.
• Proven ability to read, understand, and work within existing codebases and established patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical quality with business velocity.
• Self-directed work style with the ability to take ownership of features end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Highly Valued Experience:

• Previous experience in regulated industries or enterprise environments.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Storyblok, Contentful, or similar).
• Linux command line familiarity and basic server administration.
• Multi-language/multi-locale website development experience.
