This Fullstack PHP/React Developer Pl (Remote) position is for working on the eCustos product.
Responsibilities and Attributions
- Keep eCustos engineering reference databases updated: understand how each state makes its price tables, compositions, and inputs available and bring this data to our standard as quickly and reliably as possible.
- Develop and maintain ETL connectors and routines that extract data from very different sources (relational databases, APIs, spreadsheets, files), with traceability, fault handling, and reprocessing.
- Structure and model data for application consumption: formats, relationship keys, and quality criteria, investigating discrepancies between source databases.
- Work on the PHP processing back-end, including routines that run in the background, and support the query and load monitoring interfaces.
- Propose improvements in extraction processes using AI (matching compositions and inputs, reading unstructured documents, normalizing descriptions, and anomaly detection).
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience with PHP in web application development and maintenance.
- Relational databases with MySQL: modeling, advanced SQL, and query optimization, with a relevant volume of data.
- Practical experience with ETL routines and API integration: from extraction at the source to data ready for querying.
- Familiarity with Git and Docker, and an open mind for technologies outside of PHP: our data sources include SQL Server, Oracle, spreadsheets, and legacy systems, and our processes use Python and Go in specific points. We do not expect mastery of everything, but rather a willingness to enter these environments.
- Desirable: Python applied to data extraction and processing; contact with non-relational databases (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, MongoDB or equivalents); React and TypeScript to support the front-end; use of AI in daily development (Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar).
