We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Developer with extensive experience across JavaScript platforms. As a Software Development Engineer on the Digital Origins team, you will drive the evolution and delivery of next-generation content creation and optimization tools. Your contributions will directly impact how content is onboarded from studios and delivered to various customer-facing web and mobile applications across all of Nordstrom’s brands and editorial campaigns. This role requires a balance of technical and design expertise to deliver compelling features, offering a unique opportunity to enhance the shopping experience for every customer interacting with our client's website.
Responsibilities
- Produce well-designed, testable code adhering to industry best practices.
- Lead planning, forecasting, and execution efforts for new project deliverables.
- Ensure the quality and availability of software systems through best practices for monitoring and alerting.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams and stakeholders to align team objectives and offerings.

- 5+ years experience building and deploying software systems in cloud-based technologies (AWS - EC2, S3, Lambda, Redis, Elasticsearch).
- Mastery in front-end coding technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML).
- Mastery in front-end frameworks (Node.js, React).
- Experience with search engine and analytic technologies (Elasticsearch).
- Experience with designing and building APIs.
- Demonstrable experience owning and operating business-critical systems servicing internal and external customers.

Education
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or comparable experience.
