About the internship:
During this internship, you will work on extensions and integrations using your knowledge of the LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) to enhance functionality and accessibility of Prepr’s online open education resources, as well as test for cross-platform and browser compatibility prior to deployment. Your work will enhance the organization’s ability to deliver free skills-based education to youth and other community members.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for our product and mission, and go-getters who thrive in fast paced environments
- Currently a student of/already have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology or another relevant field
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Proficient at Frontend Web Development including CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript
- Ability to work in a technology heavy environment and learn new tools and platforms quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Points If You:
- Have 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field
- Are familiar or have experience with the AGILE methodology
- Knowledge of the LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Have worked in a scaling start-up or growing small-business environment
What We Offer:
- $18.00 per hour
- 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm
- Monday to Friday
- Remote, work from home
Eligibility Requirements:
This position is fully funded through Canada Summer Jobs, therefor candidates must be considered youth, and a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee residing in Ontario.
