Frontend Developer with UI/UX Focus
Location: Berlin, Bremen, Cottbus, Düsseldorf, Fulda, Greven, Home Office, Mannheim, Munich, Westerstede
Your Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement UX/UI for our proprietary AI platform, from wireframes and clickable prototypes to production-ready interfaces.
- Develop modern, performant, and responsive frontends, prioritizing loading times, accessibility, and Dark/Light Mode functionality.
- Design AI-specific interaction patterns, including chat and streaming interfaces, source references, citations, document and prompt workflows, and feedback/trust elements.
- Build and maintain a consistent Design System and a reusable component library.
- Continuously enhance the existing application's usability based on user feedback, usability tests, and usage data.
- Collaborate closely with the backend and platform teams, contributing to API interface design from a frontend perspective.
- Actively shape product strategy by monitoring market trends in AI, UX/UI, and modern web applications, and proposing concrete ideas.
Your Profile
- Completed training as an IT specialist for application development, a comparable degree, or relevant practical professional experience.
- Several years of experience in frontend development with a strong UX/UI focus.
- Proficiency in HTML, modern CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, along with experience in at least one current framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Svelte).
- Experience in prototyping and utilizing design tools like Figma.
- Basic knowledge of PHP, as parts of our applications are PHP-based.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with LLM-based applications, RAG systems, or chat interfaces.
- Daily use of AI-supported development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
- Knowledge of Accessibility (WCAG), Design Tokens, or component libraries.
- Proficiency in Git and CI/CD processes.
- Strong intuition for intuitive user interfaces and a well-conceived User Experience.
- Fluent in German and good English communication skills.
