The Context
We are looking for a Frontend Developer for one of our clients: a fast-growing Italian software house specializing in the development and distribution of consumer mobile applications. Their products have reached the top of Apple and Google stores in multiple European countries and the USA, with over 30 million installations and 7 million active users every month.
The Role
You will join the frontend team, working on scalable web platforms with a constant eye on code quality. You will be involved in both new developments and interventions on existing codebases, including refactoring, optimization, and tidying up projects that have accumulated some technical debt over time. If you have the right seniority, we can consider full remote work regardless of your location.
Must have
- Solid programming and OOP fundamentals, design patterns applied in the field
- Concrete experience with React and at least one related framework (Next.js, Remix, or similar)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and at least one preprocessor or utility library (SASS, Tailwind…)
- State management with Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, or equivalents
- Ability to design reusable, modular, and maintainable UI components
- Experience with REST APIs and performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, rendering)
- Decision-making autonomy, good problem-solving, effective priority management across multiple projects
Nice to have
- Familiarity with emerging technologies: Qwik, Astro, SolidJS
- Experience with legacy environments, e.g., WordPress + PHP
- Refactoring and updating existing codebases
- Advanced debugging with Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, or Proxyman
