Your main activities / responsibilities will be:
- Develop, customize, and optimize WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Ensure developed interfaces accurately reflect designer-created layouts.
- Convert layouts from tools like Figma, Sketch, or Zeplin into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, integrated with WordPress.
- Implement and customize Gutenberg blocks and/or utilize visual builders as needed.
- Integrate WordPress with REST APIs, external services, and back-end systems.
- Develop new interfaces and enhance user experience (UX/UI).
- Create reusable code and components for future projects.
- Ensure technical viability of layouts and correct responsive implementation.
- Apply best practices for technical SEO, performance, and accessibility.
Education
Completed higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
These skills are fundamental:
- Solid experience with WordPress (theme and plugin development).
- Advanced PHP.
- Advanced HTML5.
- CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, responsiveness).
- JavaScript and jQuery.
- Consumption and creation of REST APIs (WordPress REST API).
- Knowledge of MySQL.
- Experience with Bootstrap or other CSS frameworks.
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, and/or Zeplin.
- Intermediate English.
Desirable:
- Principles of technical SEO for WordPress.
- Experience with Gutenberg (block editor) and/or ACF.
- Understanding of performance concepts (Core Web Vitals, cache, asset optimization).
- Knowledge of versioning with Git.
- Experience with WordPress hosting and deployment environments.
