Harvbrest is seeking a remote ERP / Backend Developer in Mexico to configure, maintain, and customize ERP systems like Dolibarr. Position Summary
We are seeking a technical-functional professional with expertise in backend development and ERP systems. This role involves direct collaboration with operational users to enhance real business processes. It is ideal for individuals who excel at solving operational challenges, automating workflows, and customizing existing systems to meet specific business requirements. You will contribute to a dynamic environment, directly impacting inventory, sales, warehousing, operations, and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and evolve ERP systems (Dolibarr or similar platforms).
- Develop and customize modules, primarily using PHP for backend solutions.
- Adjust operational flows across sales, inventory, warehousing, and Point of Sale (POS).
- Integrate with essential business tools, including Microsoft 365 and external APIs.
- Automate processes such as notifications, approvals, and data synchronizations.
- Generate operational reports and execute SQL queries for data analysis.
- Resolve real-world user incidents efficiently.
- Collaborate directly with operational departments for continuous process improvement.
Required Experience
- Backend development with PHP.
- Working with ERP systems (Dolibarr, Odoo, or similar).
- Database management (MySQL / MariaDB).
- Solving practical operational problems, beyond theoretical development.
- Daily operations support for end-users.
Solid Technical Foundation
- PHP (code reading and modification).
- MySQL / MariaDB (queries, joins, data analysis).
- Git version control and best practices for managing customizations during updates.
- Deploying and operating cloud applications, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS experience accepted with adaptability to Azure).
- Basic Linux environment administration (logs, permissions, cron, web services).
- Ability to interact with operational users, diagnose issues, propose improvements, and document changes.
- Results-oriented profile with a strong understanding of business processes, not solely technical.
Knowledge In
- AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
- Operating the Linux + Apache/Nginx + PHP + MySQL/MariaDB stack.
- Azure services: Functions, AppService.
- Basic security principles: TLS, access control, patching, hardening.
- MVC architecture and development frameworks.
- Version Control Software (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Incident Control Software.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Power Automate for automation, notifications, and integrations.
- Dolibarr expertise.
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate).
- Process automation.
- Experience in inventory, warehousing, or retail operations.
- MS Project.
100% technical English proficiency required.
