We are growing rapidly and are in the initial phase of migrating several web shops from OpenCart to Shopify. Currently, we have one full-time IT employee, and we need reinforcement!

The Role

You will be part of the effort to move our web shops from OpenCart to Shopify, and subsequently contribute to their development and maintenance. You will work closely with our IT Manager and have the opportunity to influence both structure and solutions. We are looking for someone with strong technical understanding who is eager to grow in the field. Once you are settled in the role, there will be some possibility for remote work.

Your Main Tasks

• Migrate shops and data from OpenCart to Shopify.
• Adapt content, data, and functionality to match the previous shops' content.
• Build/adjust Shopify themes (Liquid) and configure apps, flows, and settings.
• Perform simpler integrations and scripts (API, webhooks, CSV/JSON).
• Ongoing management: bug fixes, content updates, product feeds, improvements.
• Contribute with small internal tools to simplify the team's daily work.

Other tasks may arise to assist within the organization, and you should not be afraid to pitch in where needed.

Qualifications

• Shopify experience: themes/Liquid, apps, customizations, and preferably API flows.
• Practical OpenCart experience (or similar systems) – you understand how the data is structured.
• Good knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript, as well as PHP at a level sufficient to adapt existing code.
• Accustomed to working independently, structured, and seeing tasks through to completion.

Meritorious

• Experience with data migrations (products, customers, orders), Excel/CSV.
• Knowledge of integrations with ERP systems, WMS, or payment/shipping solutions.
• Driver's license and car (office/warehouse is located approx. 20 minutes from Alingsås towards Sollebrunn).
