Work Type: Fully Remote
Location Requirement: Must reside within the contiguous United States
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Business Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (ET)
Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential extension
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain an Acquia-hosted Drupal Content Management System (CMS).
- Deliver high-quality front-end UI/UX enhancements, including theme and stylesheet updates.
- Develop, configure, and maintain Drupal modules as required.
- Perform backend development using PHP and JavaScript.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Maintain compliance with ADA / WCAG accessibility standards.
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Apply Drupal security patches and support platform updates.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Support knowledge transfer and collaboration with client technical teams.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with:
- PHP development and testing
- HTML development
- JavaScript development
- Configuring and managing Acquia/Drupal CMS environments
- Gathering, documenting, and managing functional and technical requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience with responsive web design.
- Strong experience maintaining existing Drupal architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to support production systems in enterprise environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass background and security checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Acquia Certified Developer (Drupal 9 or higher).
- Experience with:
- HTML5, Bootstrap, and Twig
- ADA accessibility compliance
- SQL
- Experience supporting government or large enterprise Drupal implementations.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to coding and security best practices.
Tools & Environment
- Drupal (Acquia-hosted)
- PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- Responsive design frameworks
- Version control and standard CMS development tools
- Client-provided Windows laptop and IT resources
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience. All compensation is inclusive of labor, overhead, and administrative costs.
