Responsibilities and assignments
- Technically lead the squad, defining architecture, coding standards, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Plan and prioritize demands with the Product Owner, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Design, develop, review, and deploy high-performance PHP (Laravel) solutions, following SOLID and Clean Code principles.
- Guide and mentor developers and testers, conducting code reviews, pair programming, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define quality metrics (test coverage, build time, incidents) and act on reducing technical debt.
- Ensure observability (structured logs, tracing, metrics) and security (OAuth2, OWASP, LGPD) of applications.
- Coordinate deploys in AWS environment (ECS/Fargate or EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda), automating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
- Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and security teams to optimize costs, scalability, and resilience.
- Communicate risks, deadlines, and status transparently, negotiating scope when necessary.
Requirements and qualifications
- Education: Completed higher education in IT (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related).
- Experience: 6+ years in back-end development, 2+ years as a technical lead or similar.
- Large-scale or complex projects, including system integrations and data architecture.
- Main stack:
- Back-end: PHP 5.6/7/8 (Laravel), Python 3; testing with PHPUnit/Pest.
- Database: MySQL, MongoDB; relational and NoSQL modeling.
- Basic front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Back-end Frameworks: Laravel, Zend Expressive.
- Front-end Frameworks: Vue.
- DevOps/Cloud: AWS (ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, IAM), Docker.
- Practices: Microservices, REST APIs, Design Patterns, SOLID, TDD/BDD, Git Flow.
- Soft skills: Servant leadership, clear communication, agile facilitation (Scrum/Kanban), continuous feedback.
- Languages: Technical English for reading/writing documentation.

- Differentials:
- Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, DDD, or Event Sourcing.
- AWS Certification (SAA or SAP).
- Experience with observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Terraform/CDK, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
