Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer - Internship

Responsibilities:

• Design and propose creative app-level ideas.
• Research and design web applications and applications.
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to optimize prototypes.
• Work with teams using agile techniques and Scrum.
• Incorporate a test-driven approach to software components, utilizing modern testing frameworks (e.g., Unit testing, coverage, testability).

Expected Skillsets:

Phase 1:

• Programming: Proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, TA-lib, ccxt), JavaScript.
• Backtesting: Development with Backtrader.
• Version Control: Git.
• APIs: REST API & WebSocket API.

Phase 2:

• Cloud Deployment: Docker/Kubernetes.
• Monitoring: Prometheus.
• Databases: Redis, PostgreSQL.
• UI: React.js.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and be a good team member.
• Concepts on AI prompts, ERP, data visualization are a plus.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Linux (Kubernetes, Docker), Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, Php, Python is a plus.
• Solid experience with modern IDEs, Source control, and build management tools.
• Experience in one of the following technologies is a plus: Web (Angular/React, CSS3 / SCSS / SASS, HTML5, Javascript).

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled in a participating university in Hong Kong: The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Lingnan University.
• Candidates must be located in Hong Kong.
• Provide Full Name, Student ID, and University Email for verification.

Job Type: Internship

Contract Length: 1-2 months

Pay: Up to $11,490.00 per month

Experience: Programming: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tsuen Wan, New Territories
