Position Overview
Willingham Creative is seeking an experienced Elementor / WordPress Designer & Developer based in the United States to join the team as an independent contractor. This remote role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who can independently design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites, delivering exceptional user experiences and clean, responsive designs.
The ideal candidate possesses strong design skills and advanced WordPress development expertise, with a proven track record of building professional websites using Elementor.
Requirements
- Must be located in the United States
- Minimum 5 years of professional WordPress experience
- Minimum 5 years of Elementor experience
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles
- Advanced knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and site architecture
- Proficiency in custom CSS, HTML, and basic PHP troubleshooting
- Experience building custom websites from concept to launch
- Experience optimizing websites for performance, security, and mobile usability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Beaver Builder or other WordPress page builders
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Familiarity with other popular WordPress plugins
- Experience working with marketing agencies and multiple client accounts
- Understanding of website hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, email configuration, and website migrations
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom WordPress websites using Elementor
- Create responsive layouts optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Implement website updates, enhancements, and maintenance requests
- Troubleshoot WordPress, theme, plugin, and layout issues
- Optimize website speed, performance, and user experience
- Ensure websites follow modern design, accessibility, and usability standards
- Collaborate with clients and project managers as needed
- Maintain project timelines and communicate progress effectively
