PGT Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer/Business Analyst to join the VHA Business Architecture (BA) Operations and Quality Assurance (OQA) team. This role provides essential operational support across BA’s delivery platform, architecture databases, SharePoint, and Business Intelligence (BI) decision support products. The OQA team coordinates efforts across functional units to implement tools that meet BA’s requirements, aiming to establish a centralized repository for data sharing and business intelligence visualizations while ensuring data quality, consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for developing business intelligence reports and analytics based on functional unit requirements.
  • Develop front-end Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for database updates.
  • Leverage relational database content, including SQL, for comprehensive reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps to create data analytics dashboards and reports.
  • Assist with the maintenance of an existing metadata extraction tool, developed using PHP and XML, for data retrieval from Microsoft Visio.
  • Contribute to proposing and implementing solutions that address client challenges.
  • Develop and share intellectual capital to enhance team efficiency and performance, such as documenting internal practices or proposing process improvements.
  • Participate in quality control and configuration management activities within a team environment.
  • Provide regular status reports and quarterly status briefs on ongoing work efforts.
  • Facilitate team meetings and prepare necessary materials, including briefings, agendas, and minutes.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., IT or Computer Science) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server database, including maintenance and query writing.
  • Advanced skills in business intelligence tools, specifically Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps, enabling independent analysis and reporting.
  • Direct customer engagement experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technical skills.
  • Proven capability to effectively capture and track requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to design solutions that meet customer needs and maintain database content and relationships.
  • Detail-oriented approach to executing assigned work and developing work products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint and Teams.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Experience performing aspects of business architecture, enterprise architecture, or system architecture duties.
  • Experience working on government contracts or projects, particularly with VA or DoD.
  • Healthcare or digital health industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools such as Microsoft Visio, NoMagic Cameo Enterprise Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, PHP, XML, UML, or other software development experience.
