What We Expect From You
As a Backend Web Developer, you will join the technology team and be responsible for creating various services and integrations for JOTA's new platform. You will integrate into a multidisciplinary product team composed of highly qualified individuals, offering opportunities to teach and learn in a dynamic, collaborative, and informal environment.
At JOTA, you will have the autonomy to build intelligent systems for fast and personalized content delivery to our subscribers. You will have the chance to construct a unique platform using the most modern software and infrastructure technologies. Furthermore, you will deal with the country's most impactful subjects, such as politics, economics, law, and media.
Expected Skills
- Experience with Linux.
- Code versioning using GIT.
- Experience in PHP and/or working with Wordpress (API).
- Creation and implementation of RESTFul APIs.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
- Knowledge of queue or event-oriented architecture (SQS and SNS).
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
- Testing culture: Experience planning, building, and configuring unit and integrated tests in pipelines.
Will Be a Differential
- Knowledge of the Meta Whatsapp API.
- Knowledge of NodeJS.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge in software development using Django/Python (OO, Generators, Design Patterns, Data Types, Data Structures, etc.).
- Knowledge of Observability tools (NewRelic).
- Container operations (Docker).
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Ansible.
- Knowledge of Github Actions.
- Experience maintaining delivery pipelines (CI/CD, preferably Github Actions).
