Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code, fix bugs, and participate in defining tools, technologies, and processes according to software engineering best practices.
- Independently implement highly complex solutions, ensuring progress and minimizing delay risks by detecting potential requirement issues.
- Conduct analysis and research to support technical decisions.
- Elevate the team's software quality testing practices, identifying and mitigating risks at the code, feature, or project level.
- Own the solution design process, considering risks and dependencies associated with technical decisions.
- Participate in resolving incidents within your scope of work.
- Contribute to the backlog by identifying and suggesting system improvement opportunities, such as performance optimization, documentation, security, and integration testing.
- Actively participate in code reviews and provide mentorship through pairing sessions and presentations to the team.
- Analyze the necessary effort for demands relative to business needs and dependencies, learning from the context to improve estimation accuracy and task prioritization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with PHP (legacy and modern) and related frameworks (Laravel).
- Experience developing/integrating REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with automated testing (unit and integration tests).
- Experience with application performance monitoring and observability.
- Experience with BFF architecture, microservices, and integration with external platforms.
- Experience with events and messaging (Apache Kafka).
- Experience with Docker and Git.
- Solid knowledge of development best practices (DDD, Clean Architecture, Design Patterns, SOLID, etc).
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Golang.
- Knowledge of inter-service communication using gRPC.
- Knowledge of OpenAPI Specification (3.0/3.1).
- Knowledge of Hypermedia REST APIs (HATEOAS).
- Knowledge of an API Management tool.
- Experience with Oauth2.
