Back-End Developer

Remote Back-End Developer (Mid-Level)

We are seeking a Mid-Level Back-End Developer with a minimum of four years of experience to join our remote team. This role involves designing, supporting, and securing robust back-end systems and APIs, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Location: Remote

Remuneration: NGN 500,000 (non-negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
• Design and provide ongoing support for back-end systems and services.
• Develop and support APIs utilized by both the front-end and external platforms.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; build and test prototypes; resolve complex technical challenges; and analyze system slowdowns.
• Develop and enforce security measures to protect systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Proficiency in back-end languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, PHP, Django, Spring, and Express.js.
• Ability to create and manage structured database architectures.
• Knowledge of web security standards and best practices, including encryption and secure coding techniques.
• Excellent analytical abilities for diagnosing and improving backend systems performance.
• Experience working closely with front-end teams and contributing to collaborative development efforts.
• Dedication to staying informed on emerging tools and best practices in the field.
