Position Summary
We are seeking a technically minded individual passionate about software development and customer success. This role focuses on providing technically-focused support for our external API, which customers use to create innovative integrations that enhance their practices and expand our core product's capabilities. You will interface with customers, company stakeholders, and various teams to ensure comprehensive support throughout the integration process.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software development, a supportive personality, and a passion for learning. Our API leverages multiple technologies, including C#/.NET and PHP backend services. We value individuals who contribute positively to our culture and bring new knowledge to the team.
Beyond customer support, this role involves contributing meaningfully to the API's evolution through improvements, updates, and documentation, enhancing the overall API and support experience.
This is a remote position based out of Calgary, Alberta. Availability for an in-person interview or post-interview meeting will be required.
Skills and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years in a customer service role, such as help desk or technical support
- 1+ years of professional software development experience in C#/.NET, or a comparable language like Java
- Intermediate SQL and relational database skills, including queries, schema design, transactions, and writing production-safe data migrations
- Experience writing secure code in data-sensitive or regulated environments (e.g., handling PHI, PII, or financial data)
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) and critically reviewing their output
Preferred Experience
- Experience with technical writing
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Previous experience with agile development methodologies, unit testing (e.g., xUnit/NUnit), and code reviews
- Exposure to healthcare or other regulated data environments
