The Mission: Full-Stack Ecommerce Developer
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Ecommerce Developer to manage the build, maintenance, and evolution of client websites on Shopify and WordPress.
This role requires transforming designs into fast, clean, and highly conversion-optimized storefronts. Success hinges on leveraging AI-native development workflows to achieve rapid deployment. You will collaborate directly with Account Strategists and Designers, translating Figma files into pixel-perfect, bug-free code.
What You'll Own
Shopify Development & CRO
- Build and customize high-performance Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Implement and troubleshoot third-party app integrations.
- Optimize site speed, mobile user experience, and conversion funnels.
- Execute critical CRO experiments, including landing page optimization, product page tweaks, and checkout flow improvements.
WordPress Development
- Build and maintain robust WordPress sites utilizing modern block editor development and classic PHP when necessary.
- Customize themes, develop landing pages, and integrate plugins cleanly.
- Ensure sites are fast, secure, and easily manageable by non-technical team members.
AI-Native Workflow Integration
- Utilize tools like Claude Code daily to significantly accelerate the development process.
- Proactively identify and implement AI opportunities to speed up builds, minimize bugs, and enhance code quality.
- Stay current with the latest AI-assisted development techniques and introduce innovative ideas to the team.
Quality Assurance & Communication
- Take full ownership of QA, delivering code that is thoroughly tested across various browsers and devices prior to review.
- Maintain proactive communication regarding timelines, potential blockers, and technical tradeoffs.
- Record Loom walkthroughs to clearly explain work and address questions before commencing development.
Requirements
You're Right for This Role If...
- You possess 3+ years of hands-on Shopify and WordPress development experience.
- You are fluent in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Liquid (Shopify), and PHP (WordPress).
- You have proven experience translating Figma designs into code independently.
- You actively use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI tools in your daily workflow, moving beyond mere experimentation.
- You are obsessive about details, highly bothered by bugs, and test your own work rigorously.
- You communicate clearly and proactively, especially in asynchronous environments, prioritizing questions over assumptions.
- You can estimate accurately or are transparent about uncertainty, flagging risks early.
- You are comfortable working remotely with a distributed team across time zones and require minimal management.
