Kampwise is a growing Quebec-based tech startup, located in the Quebec City region, modernizing campground management and reservations. We are entering a key phase: structuring our product, accelerating our development, and building our in-house tech team. We are currently prioritizing candidates located in the greater Quebec City region (or a nearby city/region) to foster close collaboration and a strong team spirit.
The Role
This hire will play an important role in structuring our technological environment and in the evolution of the product. You will work in collaboration with our current technological partner, while actively contributing to the progressive integration of in-house development.
AI-first Approach
We are looking for a developer who adopts an AI-first approach and has concrete experience in using artificial intelligence as a daily performance lever. More specifically, we are looking for someone who:
- Has already worked with artificial intelligence agents or similar systems (automation, orchestration, assistants, AI pipelines)
- Integrates AI into their development processes (generation, validation, testing, optimization)
- Understands the limits of AI and knows how to frame it to produce reliable and maintainable code
- Sees AI as a strategic tool to accelerate development and structure workflows
Required Skills
- Excellent command of JavaScript
- Good experience with PHP (Laravel is a plus)
- Experience with Vue.js or modern front-end frameworks
- Proficiency in Git and good versioning practices
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or equivalent)
- Concrete experience in an environment where AI is used daily in development

- Is able to step back from an existing product and propose concrete improvements
- Is comfortable in a context where everything is not yet perfectly structured

Compensation: $60,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
