We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to contribute to our established development team, driving the transformation of a traditionally paper-heavy and complex UK industry. You will work on live systems that process documents, verify identities, and integrate with lenders and estate agents daily, moving beyond prototypes to impactful, real-world solutions. What You'd Actually Be Working On
You will join a team actively engaged in a significant platform evolution, delivering key projects:
- CRM and Case Management Rebuild: Migrating from legacy systems to a proprietary, controlled solution.
- AML and Compliance Automation: Implementing source of funds verification, identity checks, and fraud detection through integration with leading providers.
- Document Intelligence: Developing systems for processing, extracting, and understanding legal documents at scale.
- Third-Party Integrations: Connecting with estate agent portals, lender APIs, and payment systems.
These are not theoretical projects; these systems manage real transactions for real clients every day.

AI is not merely a roadmap item; it's deeply embedded in our development process. We utilize AI-assisted development workflows as a standard practice, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and automation directly into the platform for document processing, decision support, and compliance checks. The Team
You will be part of a small, cohesive development team that takes full ownership of its creations. We operate as an integral part of the business, not a separate tech department, ensuring developers have direct input into project scope and rationale. You will collaborate with teammates specializing in Laravel, Vue, integrations, and infrastructure, reporting directly to the Team Lead for daily guidance.
What We're Looking For
Technically:
- Production experience in AI-assisted development and LLM integration.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel (5+ years of experience).
- Comfort with Vue.js or a strong willingness to learn.
- Robust architectural skills, with a focus on future-proof planning.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and third-party system interactions.
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud environments.
