We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled individual for the ongoing maintenance and development of our WordPress and WooCommerce presence. This role involves long-term support, optimization, and prompt technical assistance for our existing WooCommerce online shop and WordPress website.
Your Responsibilities
- Ongoing support and maintenance of our WordPress website
- Support and optimization of our WooCommerce online shop
- Technical error analysis and problem resolution
- Installation, configuration, and updating of WordPress, WooCommerce, and plugin updates
- Monitoring and improving performance and loading times
- Optimization of display on desktop, tablet, and smartphone
- Adaptation and further development of existing functions
- Support for interfaces and integrations, e.g., payment providers, shipping service providers, or external systems
- Support for SEO-relevant technical adjustments
- Regular review of the website for errors and functionality
- Ensuring backups and fundamental technical security
Required Skills & Experience
- Good to very good knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce
- Experience with the administration and maintenance of existing online shops
- Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Ideally, knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins
- Understanding of shop processes such as products, orders, payments, shipping, and coupons
- Independent and structured way of working
- Good problem-solving skills
- Reliability and quick communication
- Willingness to independently familiarize oneself with existing systems and structures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar
- Knowledge of technical SEO
- Experience with Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager / Google Search Console
- Experience with performance optimization and caching
- Knowledge in IT security and WordPress hardening
- Experience with individual WooCommerce customizations and API interfaces
