Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills, specifically PHP, React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, alongside a strong aesthetic sense for element arrangement, color, and font choices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the entire web development process, encompassing design, development, and deployment, is strongly preferred.

Please note this is a short-term contract with an estimated timeframe of 2-3 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Establishing and guiding the website's architecture.
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and transforming it into a working theme and plugin.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A minimum of 3 years of development experience with WordPress, PHP, React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Must possess React experience.
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Experience developing responsive websites.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial).
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities; ability to efficiently manage time based on business priorities.
