Quick Summary

This remote, ad-hoc, part-time Website Support & Developer role, paying £20-£30/hour, requires a security-conscious professional to provide technical support and development for client websites. Key responsibilities include managing hosting infrastructure, troubleshooting website/email issues, and building/editing sites using WordPress, Joomla, Divi, and Elementor. Candidates need strong experience with hosting platforms, DNS, SSL, WordPress, Joomla, and the ability to work independently on urgent technical issues, primarily Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Website Support & Developer (Remote)

JDynamic Sales Solutions, a growing website design, development, and hosting company based in Gloucester, is seeking a reliable and experienced Website Support & Developer to join our remote team. This role combines essential technical website support, comprehensive hosting management, and skilled website development across a diverse portfolio of client websites and hosting environments.

We are looking for a dependable, security-conscious, and technically capable professional who can support our internal team with both day-to-day technical tasks and occasional urgent support requirements.

Working Arrangement

This is a flexible, remote, ad-hoc support position, not a fixed-hours role. Work will be provided on an as-needed basis, driven by client requirements, technical support requests, development tasks, and occasional urgent issues. Involvement may vary weekly, with some periods requiring more engagement and others being minimal.

We seek a flexible, dependable, and responsive individual comfortable with ad-hoc work, aiming to establish a trusted technical support partnership. This role is ideal for a freelance developer, technical support specialist, or independent professional seeking ongoing project and support work alongside existing commitments.

Working Hours & Response Expectations

As an ad-hoc support role, there are no guaranteed set hours. However, we generally expect availability for support requests between:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Emergency support outside these hours is infrequent and reserved for critical issues affecting website availability, hosting services, email systems, or security. This is not a 24/7 support role; out-of-hours requests are rare and only for urgent technical emergencies. We value reliability, communication, and responsiveness during urgent situations, while also respecting realistic work-life balance expectations.
