Job Summary: Remote Full Stack Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses experience across various technologies and platforms, enabling them to select the optimal stack for specific use cases. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and websites.

The position requires a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development, including expertise in modern frameworks, databases, and deployment tools. The Web Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences, optimize performance, and implement scalable solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Determine the modern technology stack and platform best suited for application development.
• Design modular components and entities for web sites.
• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js), including applications involving Geo Spatial information.
• Design intuitive user interfaces and user flows, enhancing UX and meeting client specifications through wireframing and prototyping.
• Build robust back-end systems utilizing technologies like Node.js, PHP, and Python.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP web services, and third-party APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Manage and optimize databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite; perform data visualization for analytical insights.
• Implement DevOps practices using Docker containers, Ansible automation, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub/GitLab/SVN, and Azure/AWS cloud services.
• Ensure application security through best practices (SQL injection prevention, authentication protocols, secure deployment).
• Conduct unit testing and system testing to ensure code quality, utilizing tools like Visual Studio.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into functional, responsive web interfaces.
• Maintain documentation of system architecture and development processes following SDLC methodologies within Agile workflows (Jira or Trello).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack web development with a strong project portfolio.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (jQuery), TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js, Vue.js).
• Proficiency in back-end development using Python (Django), PHP (WordPress), C# (.NET), Ruby on Rails, or Node.js; familiarity with MVC architecture.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB); knowledge of database design and optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), automation (Ansible), CI/CD (Jenkins), and version control (Git/GitHub/SVN).
• Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure); understanding of system architecture for scalable web solutions.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design & integration; experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Strong understanding of web design principles focusing on responsiveness and SEO best practices.
• Ability to work within Agile environments utilizing Jira or Trello.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and self-motivation.

Compensation and Location

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
