We are rebuilding our website and are seeking a WordPress Developer to manage the technical aspects of the project. The design is already covered by our graphic designer, who provides the visual direction and resources. We need someone to transform these designs into a functional website.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild our current WordPress site based on provided designs.
- Create custom page templates and reusable blocks for team updates without developer assistance.
- Implement responsive designs that perform well across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Audit and debug existing plugins, theme code, and page structure.
- Optimize loading speed, SEO fundamentals, and analytics settings.
- Build and integrate forms, integrations, and CRM connections.
- Manage hosting, testing environments, backups, security, and deployment.
- Provide maintenance and updates post-launch.
Profile We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in WordPress, with a portfolio of sites you have built or rebuilt.
- Proficiency in custom themes and page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar); fluency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when plugins are insufficient.
- Comfortable working from a designer's files, without designing from scratch.
- Clear communication, capable of explaining technical decisions in simple terms.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not a requirement.
Structure
This position begins as a project contract for the site reconstruction. If it proves to be a good fit for both parties, there is a possibility of transitioning to a part-time or full-time role supporting our website and overall digital presence.
