Expert WordPress Developer Needed: Complete Custom Plugin & API Integrations for LGBTQ+ Non-Profit

Q-MoB is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering queer men by organizing over 25 monthly community social, recreation/wellness, and arts/culture events across Western Mass and surrounding rural counties. We are also launching the Western Mass Rainbow Pages, a comprehensive LGBTQ-friendly business, professional, and community resource directory.

We are seeking an experienced WordPress developer to finalize, test, and deploy a custom plugin. This plugin will connect our website's event registrations and donations with our core operational software, including our Little Green Light CRM, QuickBooks Online bookkeeping system, and an event host/check-in app. The project also involves training our staff and volunteers on system operation and maintenance.

The Project

This role involves picking up where a previous developer left off to complete a critical custom WordPress plugin and integrate it with our key systems. The budget for this project is $3000, structured across four milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit & Complete Code: Review, test, and finalize an existing custom WordPress plugin.
  • API Integration: Ensure seamless data flow for event registrations and donations between WordPress, Little Green Light (LGL) CRM, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Mailchimp.
  • App Syncing: Finalize the connection between the website and our event host/check-in app.
  • System Adaptation: Adapt and deploy these integrated systems for our secondary website, the Western Mass Rainbow Pages.
  • Staff Training: Provide clear, accessible training for non-technical staff and volunteers on how to operate, edit, and maintain both the website and the new plugin.

Required Skills

  • Advanced WordPress Plugin Development (PHP, JavaScript).
  • Proven experience with API integrations, specifically QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Little Green Light (LGL) CRM.
  • Comfortable inheriting, debugging, and documenting legacy code.

Pay: $3,000.00 per year
