Duties
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining IT infrastructure including cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Support the integration of AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and data analysis tools to enhance decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives related to IT governance, cybersecurity (including FISMA, PCI standards), disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Manage and optimize distributed systems, APIs, ERP systems, and application development projects utilizing SDLC methodologies like Agile and ITIL frameworks.
- Contribute to system design and application development using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript (React, Angular), C#, Java, PHP, HTML, and SQL databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB.
- Implement risk management practices by configuring firewalls, network security protocols (WAN, LAN), and adhering to NIST standards for information security.
- Support project management efforts through team management activities, negotiation with vendors or stakeholders, budgeting oversight, and strategic resource allocation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including WANs, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and IT infrastructure management.
- Expertise in AI technologies such as machine learning models and natural language processing applications.
- Proficiency in software development using languages like Python, JavaScript (React.js/Angular), C#, PHP, Java; experience with DevOps practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols including FISMA compliance, PCI standards, firewall configuration, disaster recovery planning, and ISO standards relevant to information security.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or ITIL; ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data analysis techniques using SQL databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) or NoSQL options like MongoDB.
- Ability to develop comprehensive IT strategies aligned with organizational goals; excellent analysis skills for risk assessment and system design.
- Strong communication skills for negotiation with vendors or stakeholders; leadership qualities suitable for working with senior leadership teams.
