GAO Research Inc. is actively seeking a talented and detail-oriented Chinese-speaking WordPress Web Developer Intern based in Canada. This remote internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in website creation, user interface design, and web performance optimization within an international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop professional websites using WordPress and leading page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg.
• Customize WordPress themes and templates, including child themes, to align with brand guidelines and client preferences.
• Implement responsive design practices to ensure websites are optimized for all devices and screen sizes.
• Optimize website performance, load times, and SEO readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to WordPress sites and provide timely solutions.
• Stay current with the latest web technologies, WordPress updates, and industry trends.
• Collaborate virtually with team members across global locations, maintaining effective communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in WordPress development and design, supported by a portfolio of past work.
• Proficiency in WordPress CMS and page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with WordPress plugin and theme development, including child theme customization.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and SEO best practices.
• Excellent attention to visual detail and user experience (UX).
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is required for communication with clients and partners in China.
• Knowledge of Chinese business culture and communication styles is a strong asset for this role.
• Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a virtual setting.
