Role Purpose
The Support Advisor – Merchant Payment Integration assists PaySprint merchants in integrating online payment features using the provided Payment Gateway Documentation. This critical role ensures a seamless onboarding process by offering technical guidance, resolving integration issues, and helping merchants activate and optimize their online payment experiences (including checkout integration, APIs, webhooks, plugins, invoicing, and virtual terminals).
The advisor serves as the primary technical and functional support contact for businesses integrating PaySprint into their websites, mobile applications, e-commerce stores, or custom payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities
A. Merchant Integration Support
- Guide merchants through the PaySprint Payment Gateway Documentation step-by-step.
- Support merchants with API key re-generation, credential setup, sandbox testing, and live mode activation.
- Assist merchants in integrating Checkout APIs, Webhooks, and e-commerce plugins (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, custom HTML/PHP/JS scripts).
- Review merchant test transactions and validate successful setup.
B. Technical Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve API errors, failed callbacks, authentication issues, and integration misconfigurations.
- Escalate issues to internal engineering when necessary (e.g., error logs, API latency, gateway downtime).
- Provide clear solutions via email, chat, or live screen-share.
C. Merchant Education & Success
- Train merchants on PaySprint product features and best practices (security, KYC, payment flows).
- Recommend optimal payment setups based on merchant business models.
- Provide onboarding assistance for Merchant Verification, Account Setup, Invoicing, Online Store activation, and Payment channel configuration.
D. Documentation & Knowledge Base
- Identify recurring merchant issues and suggest improvements to the Payment Gateway documentation.
- Create simplified guides, FAQs, and step-by-step tutorials for merchants.
- Update internal knowledge base with common issues and resolutions.
E. Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Ensure all merchant integration practices adhere to PaySprint’s AML/CFT, KYC, and security guidelines.
- Flag suspicious activities or misuse of API credentials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, Webhooks, and basic HTTP authentication.
- Experience supporting merchants integrating online payments, fintech APIs, or e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Custom HTML/PHP/JS).
- Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical).
- Strong problem-solving, patience, and customer-centric personality.
- Ability to multitask and manage several integrations concurrently.
- Bonus: Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or SaaS.
Preferred Background
- 1–3 years in technical support, merchant support, or developer success.
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, transaction workflows, and digital wallet systems.
- Experience in cross-border or multi-currency payments (a plus).
