About the role:
The Technical Lead Manager (TLM) plays a critical role in driving both the technical direction and successful delivery of a team's work. They lead the team in designing and implementing high-quality solutions while ensuring timely and predictable delivery. In addition to being the team's key technical advisor and mentor, the TLM fosters team growth, ensures alignment with business goals, and champions engineering best practices and delivery excellence.
Scope: 6+ months of projects with significant business output, facing significant ambiguity, misalignment, and change.

Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Project & Delivery Management:
- Plan and coordinate engineering projects aligned with company and cluster goals.
- Manage scope, timelines, and shifting priorities.
- Handle ambiguity and lead multiple concurrent initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Align with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and stakeholders.
- Define project requirements and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Ensure shared understanding and business impact through collaboration.
People Management & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor engineers to support growth and performance.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Contribute to performance reviews and career development planning.
Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- Drive technical direction aligned with architectural and chapter strategy.
- Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability of systems.
- Guide design decisions, manage technical debt, and promote best practices.
Hands-on Engineering (Coding):
- Actively contribute to the codebase.
- Unblock complex technical issues.
- Model high standards in code quality and reliability.
Strategic & Process Improvements:
- Continuously improve engineering processes and tools.
- Enhance team productivity, collaboration, and developer experience.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in backend technologies such as Golang, Java, Scala, PHP, including design patterns.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming (event loop, promises, async/await).
- Designing scalable type architectures for large codebases.
- Experience in the areas of: application monitoring, observability, and system optimization, working in collaboration with DevOps.
- Adapting the future direction of this application area to align with the global architecture vision.
- Working together with the architect to develop new solutions — you won't go deep technically, but you will get into the system and identify it (domain knowledge matters more here than writing code).
- Ensure accurate time tracking for team members to support software activation and planning.
- Own and uphold Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the team’s services.
- Participate in Incident Response and drive Reliability improvements.
- Advocate for visibility and accuracy of technical and process KPIs.
- Define team topology needs and contribute to hiring and onboarding.
- Collaborate with peer Tech Leads and Engineering Managers on strategy across teams.
- Ability to work under time pressure and with multiple high priorities.
- Seasonality of the product (during peak season, systems operate under increased load, which requires preparation in advance).
- Working with the team in Polish / working within the department in English (minimum B2 level).
- The team consists of committed developers who know their domain well, but most of them come from a background in other technologies.

3. Purposes and bases for processing
We will process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Conduct the recruitment process for the position you are applying for. The basis for processing is:
implementation of labour law provisions (Article 22 (1) § 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure) and preparation for concluding a contract (Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR) in the scope of the following data: name(s) and surname; Date of birth; Contact; education; professional qualifications, the course of previous employment;
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR to the additional data that you choose to provide to us voluntarily in your CV, cover letter or during a job interview. Providing additional data, to the extent not specified by labour law or not required by us, will be treated as consent to the processing of such personal data. Giving consent in this case is voluntary, and consent given in this way may be revoked at any time;

4. Data retention period
We will retain your personal data for a period of one year after you submit your application for the position.
5. Data recipients
We will transfer your personal data to service providers supporting us in conducting recruitment processes, e.g. IT service providers and a service provider providing the eRecruiter recruitment process management system, i.e. eRecruitment Solutions sp. z o.o Such entities process data on the basis of a contract with us and in accordance with our instructions.
Other companies from the Wirtualna Polska Holding S.A. capital group for administrative purposes, including personnel management throughout the capital group for the purpose of exchanging data within the capital group, in particular in connection with human resources management and organizational structure, administrative, HR, payroll and IT services, planning and reporting at the group level.

6. Rights related to the processing of your personal data
You have the right to:
- access to your personal data,
- request rectification of your personal data,
- request the deletion of your personal data,
- request restriction of processing of your personal data,
- object to the processing of your data – in cases where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest,
- transfer of your personal data, i.e. the right to receive your personal data from us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable IT format. You can send this data to another data controller or request that we transmit your data to another controller, but we will only do so if such transfer is technically possible. You have this right to portability only in respect of the data that we process on the basis of a contract with you or on the basis of your consent,
- to the extent that your data is processed on the basis of consent - withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
