Senior Full-Stack Developer (Contract) - PHP, Laravel, Craft CMS & AWS

We are seeking a highly experienced developer passionate about building robust, scalable, and efficient systems. While comfortable across the full stack, you possess deep expertise in PHP, preferably using the Laravel framework. You excel at server-side architecture, managing complex AWS infrastructure, and integrating with headless CMS platforms.

Expertise in Craft CMS is essential, alongside a solid understanding of building seamless APIs for modern front-ends like Next.js.

This is a contractor/freelancer role for a 3-month project, with potential opportunities for future collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain complex web applications with a strong emphasis on PHP back-end architecture and APIs.
• Integrate and work extensively with headless CMS platforms, focusing on Craft CMS.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain efficient APIs for front-end consumption, particularly for applications built with Next.js.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.
• Optimize back-end performance and ensure data security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack.
• Contribute to front-end development when needed, specifically with modern JavaScript frameworks like Next.js.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Deep expertise in PHP, with a preference for Laravel.
• Significant, hands-on experience with Craft CMS.
• Deep understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, Cloudfront, RDS, Lambda).
• GraphQL experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks, especially Next.js.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and headless CMS’s.
• Experience with server setup and configuration.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools.
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent proactive communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with data migration and testing frameworks.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• A security-first mindset in development practices.
