About The Role

The Health and Financial Solution team is actively seeking a skilled Software DevOps Engineer to contribute to our Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) system support. This position is ideal for an experienced DevOps professional passionate about automation and empowering teams to deliver software solutions with greater speed and reliability. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, integrating robust test automation, and supporting modernization initiatives by bridging legacy mainframe systems with modern cloud platforms.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting mission-driven healthcare system environments that directly benefit Medicare beneficiaries. Responsibilities:

  • Automate and orchestrate workloads across Mainframe and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
  • Integrate test automation seamlessly within CI/CD pipelines for both legacy and modernized architectures.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot API components to facilitate processing between legacy and web environments.
  • Support unit testing and integration efforts for application components.
  • Provide essential support to software developers regarding CI/CD inquiries and issues.
  • Recommend and implement process changes to enhance the CI/CD environment.
  • Maintain current awareness of emerging technologies, with a specific focus on cloud computing and automation trends.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science/Arts degree; or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps automation, configuration management, and deployment management.
  • Proficiency with key DevOps tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Splunk, SonarQube, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Salt, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to deliver effectively within an Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Hands-on programming experience with languages including Python, PHP, Ruby, Groovy, and Java.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines within a mainframe z/OS environment.
  • Familiarity with mainframe DevOps tools such as IBM Dependency Based Build, Groovy, and UrbanCode Deploy.
  • AWS certification at any level; AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional certification preferred.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This range represents the typical salary for this position. Salary determination considers various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, individual experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
