Software Development Engineer - Remote

World Vision is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Marketing Division. This remote position reports to the Director, Information Systems.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in programming/systems or computer science, or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 3-5 years of work experience including advanced programming techniques and application design.
• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, middleware, or object-oriented analysis and design.

Preferred Experience:

• WordPress, PHP, Modern JavaScript (Modern JS), React, Next, Node, C#, and MySQL.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

Estimated hiring range: $113,000 – $137,000

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Christ as central in individual and corporate life, participating in spiritual disciplines and incorporating WV Core Values into decisions.
• Application Team Support: Participate in project planning, develop work plan timelines, manage workflows, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth application retirement, including data migration and de-coupling. Provide technical coaching and mentoring.
• Application Development: Identify technical requirements, create technical design specifications, code applications following SDLC standards, integrate solutions, develop and execute test plans, assist in deployments, and provide ongoing application maintenance. Evaluate new tools and best practices, and assist in developing user guides.
• Application Maintenance: Provide Level 1 and 2 production support, troubleshoot existing systems, evaluate applications for performance improvements, follow documentation standards, and perform quality assurance reviews.
• Work collaboratively with team members and perform other duties as assigned.

• Estimated hiring range: $113,000 – $137,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and applicable laws.
