The Leaseweb API serves as the primary interface for our global services, powering all Leaseweb websites, dashboards, and both internal and external applications. The Leaseweb Developer Platform team is seeking a skilled Software Developer to build a leading API in the hosting market and develop supporting platforms.
Product Engineering at Leaseweb
Our engineering team, comprising approximately 110 professionals, operates in small Scrum teams. Each team holds end-to-end responsibility for a specific product or architectural component. We embrace a remote-first approach, with in-person gatherings at our Amsterdam headquarters twice annually.

The Role
As a Software Developer for the Developer Platform team, you will apply your expertise to support team operations and R&D. You will collaborate with various product teams to define, architect, and review new APIs. This role involves interacting with the developer community, representing the Leaseweb API, and participating in developer events to enhance the API.
Additionally, you will design, implement, and support applications, tools, and platforms that assist our development teams and customers, including our authentication platform and central logging service.

- PHP with Symfony
- Typescript with Angular

Responsibilities
- At least 3 years of experience in software development.
- Strong programming skills, with a clear preference for PHP experience.
- Affinity with or experience in frontend development (Angular or similar frameworks).
- Experience with API development and integrating external services.
- Experience designing and contributing to software architectures.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems using OAuth2 (experience with larger systems is a plus).
- Experience building libraries and/or SDKs is a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Experience with Terraform or building Terraform plugins is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- A proactive mindset focused on quality improvement and incident prevention.
- Good communication skills in English.
