The Opportunity
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer (PHP/React) to join the Development team at SoftExpert. In this role, you will work on evolving a consolidated platform, developing new features, and contributing to the modernization of legacy systems. Your day-to-day will involve developing solutions in PHP and React, participating in technical discussions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality, security, and performance in deliverables.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain features using PHP, working in both legacy architecture and modern components;
- Implement web interface solutions using React;
- Analyze, develop, and optimize SQL queries for different databases;
- Evolve existing features while preserving platform compatibility and stability;
- Participate in code reviews, technical refinements, and architecture discussions;
- Investigate issues within an extensive codebase and propose continuous improvements;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the software development lifecycle;
- Ensure best development practices, security, and code quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Solid experience with PHP 7.x and/or 8.x.
- Object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with maintenance and evolution of legacy systems.
- Development compatible with multiple databases.
- Mastery of SQL.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Solid experience with ReactJS.
- Git and Merge Request-based workflow experience.
- Knowledge of web application security (SQL Injection, XSS, and input validation).
- AI development tools experience (GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or similar).
You will stand out if you have:
- Doctrine ORM/DBAL experience.
- Experience with Symfony.
- GitLab CI/CD knowledge.
- Java experience for backend service maintenance.
