About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer for a 3–6 month contract position at Bold. In this AI-enabled development environment, you will design and maintain software patterns that enable AI tools to generate high-quality, secure code. This role involves close collaboration with the team to deliver maintainable, reliable software, utilizing AI to accelerate development cycles.
This is a dynamic role suited for individuals who are proactive, embrace modern development tools, and excel at problem-solving within a flexible, AI-driven workflow.
What You'll Do
- Selectively write code for complex logic that AI cannot fully automate.
- Review both AI-generated and human-written code for correctness and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to validate functionality and prevent regressions.
- Continuously refine development workflows to enhance accuracy, consistency, and speed.
- Ensure code adheres to security best practices and is optimized for long-term maintainability.
- Actively participate in code reviews, testing, and release processes.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of development experience, preferably within SaaS, ecommerce, or Shopify ecosystems.
- Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel) and Go, complemented by experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React or similar frameworks.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, including integrations with Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs.
- Comfort with Git, modern development workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to accelerate development is a significant advantage.
- Solid understanding of secure coding practices, system performance, and software maintainability.
