Senior Magento Developer

We are looking for a Senior Magento Developer to act as a technical authority and architect of our platform. The professional will be responsible for defining backend guidelines, leading the strategic migration to Magento Community, and ensuring that the architecture is scalable, secure, and efficiently integrated into the bringIT ecosystem. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, dealing with a high-volume e-commerce operation and headless architecture.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Define and evolve the backend architecture of the Magento platform, ensuring scalability and performance
• Technically lead the backend development team, establishing code standards, performing code reviews, and mentoring the team
• Design and review critical integrations with external systems (ERP, Payment Gateways, Anti-fraud, OMS, and PIM)
• Technically manage the migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community, ensuring module compatibility and a zero-downtime strategy
• Diagnose and resolve highly complex critical incidents related to infrastructure, performance, and security (PHP-FPM, Nginx, OpenSearch)
• Monitor and optimize the platform via Grafana and Tempo, acting proactively on observability metrics
• Collaborate with the Product Owner on technical refinement, effort estimates, and product roadmap feasibility

Requirements and Qualifications

Required:

• Completed Higher Education in technology-focused courses (Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems), IT Management, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with backend development
• Solid experience with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce / Community) and PHP 8.x (applying SOLID and Design Patterns)
• Advanced knowledge of API Architecture (REST and GraphQL) in the context of Magento e-commerce
• Mastery of the infrastructure and performance ecosystem: MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ
• Practical experience in Observability and Troubleshooting using Grafana, Tempo, and structured log analysis
• Familiarity with infrastructure environments (Docker, Nginx, PHP-FPM) and notions of Headless architecture (Vue.js)

Desirable (Differentiators):

• Previous experience in strategic migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community
• Familiarity with Vue.js/Nuxt frontends for API architecture decision-making (Headless Commerce)
• Experience in high-transactional volume e-commerce and critical flows (PIX, Anti-fraud)
• Knowledge of E-commerce Security (OWASP Top 10 practices, hardening, and suspicious traffic analysis)
• Experience with automation and integration tools (n8n, Zapier, or similar)
• Adobe Commerce Certifications (Developer or Architect)
