What we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to work in a squad responsible for the support, evolution, and modernization of critical systems.
The main challenge of the position will be to support the transformation of a solution currently concentrated in a monolithic architecture, contributing to its componentization, technological evolution, and preparation for a multiplatform architecture.
This person will act both in the maintenance and evolution of legacy systems and in the development of new solutions, participating in the definition and execution of the modernization and technological obsolescence reduction plan.
We are looking for someone with an analytical profile, good technical investigation capacity, and experience in complex environments, integrations, and distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and evolve back-end and front-end applications.
- Act in the modernization of legacy systems, supporting the gradual migration from a monolithic architecture to independent components and services.
- Participate in the definition and execution of the technological obsolescence reduction plan.
- Develop new features using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Analyze existing systems, identify dependencies, and propose solutions for decoupling and componentization.
- Develop and maintain integrations between distributed systems using REST APIs, SOAP, messaging, and other protocols.
- Act in the investigation and resolution of problems in Linux environments.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Support continuous integration and delivery practices, containerization, and application orchestration.
- Contribute to code quality, technical documentation, code review, and definition of best practices.
- Actively participate in squad ceremonies and activities, working together with product, architecture, quality, and infrastructure professionals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with back-end and front-end software development.
- Experience with Java 8 or higher, Java EE, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Knowledge of distributed systems architecture and modernization of legacy applications.
- Experience with Linux, Shell Script, services, TCP/IP, and debugging tools such as GDB.
- Experience with messaging and asynchronous processing using technologies such as ActiveMQ, ZeroMQ, Kafka, or MQueue.
- Knowledge of SOAP and REST protocols and integrations.
- Knowledge of data modeling and relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with version control tools, such as Git, GitLab, or SVN.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Jenkins.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of C and C++.
- Experience with Qt and C++ development in a Windows environment.
- Advanced knowledge of sockets, threads, and application debugging.
- Experience with Angular or PHP.
- Knowledge of cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or on-premises infrastructure.
- Experience with non-relational databases, such as MongoDB or Azure Cosmos DB.
- Experience in modernization projects, monolith decomposition, or migration to microservices architecture.
