This role is ideal for an experienced engineer comfortable working across backend and frontend layers, focusing heavily on Shopify-based platforms and custom integrations.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel.
- Build and customize Shopify themes and storefronts, leveraging Liquid and Shopify APIs.
- Integrate Shopify with backend services and third-party systems.
- Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable code following best software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance across e-commerce applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack or Backend Developer.
- Strong, hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments.
- Solid experience working with Shopify, including custom themes, Liquid templating, and API integrations.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the context of e-commerce applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality and maintainability.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1) — able to collaborate with international teams.
Nice to Have (Important)
- Experience with ReactJS for modern frontend development.
- Experience building or integrating services using NodeJS.
