FCamara is looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer with expertise in Node.js, PHP, and React.js. This opportunity is in partnership with one of the largest national references in higher education in the healthcare field, with a strong presence in Medicine and Dentistry programs.

This is a fullstack role with a primary focus on backend (Node.js and PHP), complemented by front-end work in React/Next.js to a lesser extent (about 30% of the scope). The team works with AWS and GCP, and uses AI (Codex and/or Claude) to support daily development. We are looking for a proactive and autonomous profile, with direct communication and a focus on advancing deliverables.
Responsibilities and Assignments
- Develop and maintain modern, high-performing, and secure web applications.
- Create and consume REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring scalability and best practices.
- Work across fullstack development from back-end to front-end, focusing on code quality.
- Support technical architectural decisions and system integrations.
- Perform code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Contribute to componentization practices, clean code, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with the product and design team to continuously evolve solutions.
- Serve as a technical reference supporting developers with less seniority.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude to get things done, making autonomous technical decisions while promoting best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with new software development trends.
- Use AI in the development lifecycle securely, efficiently, and with high performance, always adhering to company standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Development.
- Solid proficiency in Node.js and PHP 8+ — backend is the technical core of the role.
- Knowledge of TypeScript and React with Next.js, sufficient to contribute to the front-end (a dedicated front-end specialist profile is not required).
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL.
- Solid knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Knowledge of using AI for development acceleration (Codex and/or Claude).
- Experience with Jest / Vitest for unit testing; Playwright / Cypress for end-to-end testing.
- Experience with CI/CD, ESLint + Prettier, Husky + Lint-Staged.
- Knowledge of Axios or Fetch API for communication with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with JWT authentication + refresh tokens, rate limiting, Helmet, CSP, and input sanitization.
- Senior, proactive, and autonomous profile with direct communication and focus on moving towards deliverables.
- Mindset focused on performance, security, and scalability.
Differentials
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS.
- Knowledge of reusable componentization, custom hooks/composables, and the use of Server Components (Next 14+).
- Previous experience working with Educational Institutions.
- Experience with headless CMS (WordPress or similar).
