Senior Full Stack Engineer

Description:

The IDX Broker team at Elm Street is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can work effectively across a mixed technology environment including Next.js and Vue.js with Typescript on the frontend, and PHP/Lavavel with MySql and Elastic Search backend. Experience with Cloud-based technologies, in particular Google Cloud and Kubernetes are a strong plus but not required.

This role is a strong fit for an engineer who is comfortable maintaining business-critical SaaS applications while also helping modernize the platform using current engineering practices, AI-assisted development workflows, and modern web/application architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, debug, and maintain software across the IDX Broker platform
• Build cutting-edge front-end features using state-of-the-art technology such Vue.js and Next.js
• Design, architect and implement new features utilizing a heterogeneous backend based on MySql, Postgres, Elastic Search, and Redis
• Contribute to modernization efforts, including refactoring, service decomposition, UI improvements, and developer experience improvements
• Build and troubleshoot APIs, web applications, jobs, and cloud-based services
• Diagnose issues across distributed systems, including logs, queues, scheduled jobs, and production service dependencies
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, release preparation, and incident response when needed
• Collaborate with internal and external business stakeholders, QA, support, and other engineers to deliver reliable features and fixes

Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong focus on engineering for cutting edge UX
• Responsibly leveraging AI Agents for software development
• Professional software development experience within a web-based ecosystem such as PHP/Laravel, Node.js, Python/Django, or Ruby/Rails
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as MySql or Postgres and familiarity with caching techniques
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, and release processes in tools such as Git, and deployment pipelines. Kubernetes experience is a big plus.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with front-end frameworks and tooling such as Vue.js and Next.js
• Experience with ORM stacks, in particular PHP/Laravel
• Experience with Google Cloud or AWS and containerization technology
• Experience building REST APIs
• Experience with Proptech a strong plus
